Looking Forward To Easter

Posted on March 10, 2015.

Easter is coming! Every year many people will consider Easter as a special day to attend a worship service. In fact, traditionally, more people attend church on Easter Sunday than any other day of the year. Yet, for many, the meaning of the day is being lost. For some it is a time to hide eggs and feast on candy while for others it is a time to buy and model new clothes. Sadly, in our fast-paced world many have taken to celebrating such days as Christmas and Easter without any thought of actually worshiping God. In fact, the way many approach these special days would lead one to think that no thought has been given to there even being a God. The moral decay of our world is coming about from this type of disregard of God’s desires for our lives.

This year Easter can be different. There is time for you to put the proper emphasis on this very special season for yourself and for those you love. There is time for you to determine that you and your household will face the Easter season in such a way that holds up the truths of our living Savior. Get out your calendar today and clear away anything that would keep you away from worshiping Jesus. Make sure that you attend the Sundays before and after Easter Sunday. This season which reminds us of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus can change our lives and the lives of others. Use this special season as an opportunity to invite family members and friends to join you in Bible study and worship services. Then, make sure you are present. Let’s demonstrate to the world that we believe in our risen Savior.

Looking forward to Easter,
Bro. Jerry
