Ready For Change
How do you deal with change? It is said that surveys show that 90% of people have anger as their first response to change. The other 10% of people were too mad to answer. We are told that older people become set in their ways, when in fact young people are equally fixed in the status quo. Somehow it has become fixed in our minds that sameness equals goodness. Some times that philosophy is correct but certainly not in every case. The only thing that we can say for sure is that sameness equals seeking to keep things exactly the way they are. We sense that changes will force us to loose control. The greatest problems is not with changes but with our failure to react to changes as the Lord would desire.
Like it or not things are constantly changing. In the spiritual world this can be a good thing. Everyone who knows Jesus as their Savior and Lord is to be constantly changing into His image. Every day with Jesus can be sweeter than the day before if we will truly follow His will. The changes we make on the inside to act and react in His will are going to bless our lives and the lives of those around us. In Jesus, we can learn to respond to the changes of life in a positive way. Yes such change does mean we give up control but that will also be a joy as long as we give that control to Jesus.
