Ready For His Plan
Have you ever thought that you do not have anything in your make up that God could use? Perhaps you take this attitude as a reason not to be as involved as you sometimes feel led to be. We think that because others might be smarter, more talented and better looking that we might as well stay on the sidelines when ministry projects come our way. The Apostle Paul writes, “ For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God —and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD” (1 Corinthians 1:26-31).
In truth, God wants to use each of us. He has a plan for your life just as He has a plan for those around you. The fact that you may think you are nothing places you in the right place to allow Jesus to be everything. Jesus humbled Himself and set the example that we are to walk with our Lord in humility. We must yield to Him our ability and our inability. In doing so God will be able to move through your life and accomplish great things. Be ready to say yes to God as He places opportunities before you. You will be amazed as the Lord uses you to accomplish His purposes.
