Redeeming The Time
The LSU/ Auburn game came to an exciting and confusing ending this past Saturday. LSU was trailing Auburn as the game was coming to an end but LSU was driving. As they approached the end zone, LSU found itself with only a matter of seconds to run their final play. Then Quarterback Danny Etling threw what seemed to be a game winning touchdown pass to wide receiver D.J. Chark with no time on the clock. It appeared that LSU had accomplished an amazing touchdown and a comeback victory over Auburn. On review it was discovered that the play didn’t count because the ball was snapped after the clock expired and Auburn hung on for an 18-13 victory.
While this game will be reviewed and questioned, the end result is LSU lost because there is only a certain amount of time allowed for an official football game and time ran out. LSU will be judged for their failure to successfully manage their time. Likewise, there will be many facing eternal judgment who failed to manage their time well. God gives us one life in which we are to come to Him for salvation. The only time we have to come to Jesus is while we are living. The only time we have to serve the Lord is while we are living. You may think you have all the time in the world. That is what LSU thought. The time to come to Jesus is now and the time to serve Jesus is now. Time is running out !
