Thankful For Easter
Thanksgiving is a great time to gather with family and friends and become bigger people. Christmas is wonderful with lots of decorations, family gatherings and presents. Valentine’s Day draws the attention of couples and their love for one another. There is yet another day that should draws our attention, Easter Sunday. The other days can make us feel good and some even draw attention to God, but Easter is the day that truly changes everything. Thanksgiving can push people toward having more thankful hearts, Christmas reminds us of God’s love and Valentine’s day reminds us to be thankful for love. Easter raises the bar. Easter does not stop with a God who loves us so much that He came to this earth. Easter tells us that same God who came was willing to offer Himself as the sacrifice for our sins. He suffered and died offering His perfect life for our lives that are stained by sin. With His blood He purchased our forgiveness and with His resurrection he reveals His power to give us new life. All we have to do is to believe and receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Because Jesus did not stay in the grave we can know there is life after we breathe our last on this planet. It also reveals that there is power for whatever we may face. Easter is the day for us to celebrate Jesus!
Thankful for Easter,
