Thankful For The Love Of Jesus
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so, little ones to Him belong, they are week but He is Strong. Yes! Jesus loves Me, Yes! Jesus loves me! Yes! Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so.”
These precious lyrics lift my heart in wonder. They are simple words that contain the greatest news any words could carry. The God of the universe came to this earth and died on a cross for me. I do not nor can not deserve such love.
How could one so pure love one so evil? How could one so wise care for one so dumb. How could one who is filled with victory be concerned with one whose life overflows with failure? The simple answer to all our questions such as these is that He loves us in spite of us because at His very core He is love. He created mankind out of His abundant love and it is in that same love that He was willing to offer Himself to purchase us back from our sin. The truth is that Jesus came in love, gave His life on the cross in love, was buried to carry our sins away in love, and rose again to bring those truths to fruition in our lives now and in eternity.
No, I am not worthy of any of His love toward me and I cannot do anything to merit any of His care. Yet, He loves me still and He loves you. It is left to us to simply receive the love and forgiveness He offers. I cannot turn down such a gift. I have not only reached out to receive His love, I cherish the thought of it every day. This love is not for just a few, it is for all who will receive it. I encourage you to join me in the wonderful, matchless love of Jesus. In His love we will be blessed.
Thankful for the love of Jesus,
