Looking To The Joy Of The Lord

Posted on October 21, 2015.

There are many believers who walk around today as if God did not want us to experience any joy or happiness. Some have the attitude that the world is full of too much misery for us to be at ease or experience joy. The exact opposite is true. God wants us to be happy. He sent His Son to die for our sins. He sent His Son to forgive us and give us a new life. He would not have gone to such great lengths to keep us in misery. He also sent the Holy Spirit to walk with us each day. He supplies us with joy. Our God is happy. The angels around Him rejoice in His presence. Why should we be different? If you know the Lord, He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. That means we as believers are always in His presence and in His presence there is joy.. We don’t have to feel guilty about being happy. Enjoy the Lord today. Stop focusing your life on all the bad things in the world. Focusing on this worlds evils will lead to depression and weakness. The Scriptures reveal that “the joy of the Lord is our strength.” Rejoicing in the presence of Jesus will bring blessings to our lives and to the lives of those around us. Our Lord Jesus gave His life on Calvary’s cross to forgive us of all our sins, past, present and future. Through the sacrifice of His blood He has purchased your pardon. He has now provided you with every spiritual and physical need. You can rest your present and future in His hands knowing that He loves you with an everlasting love. All of heaven rejoiced on the day you were saved. Certainly, it is His will for you to have His joy and strength each day.
